Briercliffe Lodge Care Home is owned by Mr Mohammad Rahman and managed by Rebecca Eyton-Jones.

All information is managed in line with the Information Commissioner’s Office regulations.

We will require to collect and use your personal data which will include both medical and social information.

This data is required by us to ensure that we can plan and manage your care and well being.

Information will be obtained from several sources including relatives, Social Services, the N.H.S (which includes local hospitals), your General Practitioner as well as services that you may be involved with (Physiotherapists, Speech & Language Specialists, Podiatry, Occupational Therapists and District Nursing). The same information will be shared between these services, as well as by our staff members, on a need to know basis. Information will not automatically be shared with relatives, unless they have powers of attorney, or you have given your consent to do so.

The effect of collecting and sharing this data should ensure a safe personalised package of care, which could not be given otherwise. The data collected will be retained for 3 years after the last entry, and then confidentially destroyed.

Should there be any perceived problem with the way data is being processed or handled complaints should be directed to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

You can access your data at no cost by placing a request with ourselves in writing. The request will be enabled within one month of your request, unless we believe the request to be excessive or unfounded, and in this case the reasons for refusal will be made apparent. You have in these circumstances the right to complain to the supervisory body and to a judicial remedy. You must do this without delay and at the latest within

one month.
